Fourteen has been picked up for Mexican distribution by La Ola Cine, and began screening on December 9, 2021 at the Cineteca Nacional in Mexico City. Screenings are currently at 17:45 daily in Sala 10. The film’s Mexican title is Catorce: Historia de una Amistad.
Fourteen was among the five nominees for the 2020 IFP Gotham Award for Best Screenplay. The award ceremony will take place on January 11, 2021.
Thanks to the Proyecto Cine Independiente (PCI) of Argentina’s Association of Film Directors, Fourteen will be available for streaming rental from PCI’s Cine Virtual site beginning on Thursday, May 28, 2020.
As announced in the previous post, Fourteen‘s virtual release in the US begins on Friday, May 15. The release has now expanded to a number of theaters, each of which will make the film available on its web site. And at least one of the theaters is in Canada, which means that May 15 is also the Canada streaming premiere. The Grasshopper Films page for Fourteen should be kept up to date with the list of participating theaters.

The Cartagena de Indias International Film Festival will screen Fourteen as part of its 60th edition, to be held in Cartagena, Colombia on March 11-16, 2020. Dates and venues to be announced.
